COVID-19: VEHICLE SAFETY GUIDELINES

Dear Drivers,

Below are some guidelines to help keep you safe amidst the outbreak:

  • You do not need to wear a mask if you are healthy.
  • Vehicles must be cleaned at the end of the shift, or more frequently if required, to maintain good hygiene.
  • In the event of a passenger spreading droplets (such as sneezing, coughing or vomiting), clean surfaces with appropriate disinfectant wipes so that the potential spread of infection can be minimised.

Recent advice from the Australian Department of Health provides additional information for on-demand drivers:

  • Passengers should sit in the back seat of the vehicle.
  • The air-conditioning/heating setting should be set to external airflow, instead of recycled.

RE: UBEREATS

Dear drivers,

For those who are not yet registered and are interested, you can commence cross-dispatch to receive orders via UberEats.

You can register by letting us know and we will coordinate with the UberEats team to expedite the approval of your application. Once approved, driver-partners will be asked to accept the terms and conditions to start undertaking food deliveries via the app and will be given information about how to start. You will also need to access a delivery bag which is available at https://ubereats.detpak.com/delivery-partners/

If you have any other queries, do not hesitate to contact us via email at [email protected].

Please also subscribe to our Facebook page, Ridelender Australia, so that we may be able to respond faster.

Thank you!

RIDELENDER

Dear Drivers,

RideLender hopes that everyone is safe and doing well amidst the ongoing situation. To help in the efforts of slowing down the spread of the coronavirus disease, please follow all DOH guidelines and stay up-to-date regarding all government directives.

In the event that a RideLender driver is diagnosed with Covid-19 or is suspected to have the virus, has symptoms such as fever, dry cough and shortness of breath, or was exposed to a known Covid-19 patient, you must immediately stop taking on passengers and inform any affiliated health emergency services and RideLender. We will take all appropriate measures to have the vehicle thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and to make flexible arrangements to help the partner-driver in regards to the terms and conditions of our rental agreement.

We understand that due to the nature and uncertainty of this situation some rideshare drivers may feel apprehensive about providing rideshare services. Some rideshare companies have since extended some assistance to address these issues. Please visit their respective websites to learn more. Alternatively, doing food deliveries such as UberEats, Menulog and Deliveroo is highly encouraged as these services will be more in demand in the foreseeable future.

If you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to give us a call or email us at [email protected].

RIDELENDER UPDATES

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing well.

Due to the growing concerns over the novel coronavirus, the Australian Government Health Department has provided guidance for public transport and ride share drivers. Click the link below to access.

The safety of our drivers and their passengers remain our number one priority. To those returning a vehicle, it is mandatory to have the car professionally cleaned in a car wash. Please keep and show us a car wash receipt. Non-compliance will incur a $75 cleaning fee as per the rental agreement.  To provide further disinfection, car interiors and door handles will be wiped with disinfection sprays before giving them out to other drivers.

Thank you and stay safe, everyone!
