RIDELENDER UPDATE – JOBKEEPER PAYMENT

Hi,

Hope you are well. Here is an update we want to share with you.

Businesses without employees, such as the self-employed (includes Uber drivers), can register their interest in applying for JobKeeper Payment via ato.gov.au from 30 March 2020.

People who are self-employed (permanent visa holders or Australian citizens) will need to provide a monthly update to the ATO to declare their continued eligibility for the payments. This means that you will need to show your Uber earnings that you are working everyday and there is a substantial decrease (30%) in your income due to the outbreak.
The payment will be made monthly ($1,500 fortnight) to the individual’s bank account. Further details for the self-employed will be provided on ato.gov.au.
If you need some assistance please come in to our office with your My Gov account, TFN and ABN.

*Please seek advice from your accountant before you proceed

RE: WA LOCKDOWN

Dear WA drivers,

The WA government has announced that a regional lockdown will be implemented starting midnight Tuesday. We have been advised that rideshare and delivery services will continue business as usual. For those who are not registered yet, we encourage you to sign up for doing food deliveries as these are more in demand in the current climate.

Any queries do not hesitate to contact us via email at [email protected].

Thank you and keep safe!
